FIVE GO ADVENTURING AGAIN by Enid Blyton
The book is regarding the theft of Uncle Quentin's papers and unmasking the thief.
This book picks up one school term after the first one finishes. The kids are excited about the Christmas holidays. Everything goes to waste when their parents hire a tutor " Mr Roland " to improve the children's grades. George dislikes the tutor and so does Timmy. ( moral learnt - If Timmy is not willing to shake hands with someone, it probably means they are evil ). Even with lessons taking up most of their time, they still manage to find a mystery to solve. And suddenly Uncle Quentin's important papers vanish so George thinks it is the tutor who had done it. They solve the mystery and get back uncle Quentin's papers. Timmy is the main hero of this story.
This book has secret passages, baddies and loads of action. The sentiment between Timmy and George was touching and poor Timmy.
"Then she rubbed the dog’s hairy chest with the oil, hoping it would do him good. ‘Don’t cough now if you can help it, Tim,’ she whispered. ‘If you do, someone may hear you. Lie down here by the fire, darling, and get nice and warm. Your cold will soon be better.’Timothy lay down on the rug. He was glad to be out of his kennel and with his beloved mistress. He put his head on her knee. She stroked him and whispered to him."
😢I want a dog like Timmy.
Important pages are stolen from Uncle Quentin's book and test tubes are broken,.Uncle Quentin suspects George, but she denies it we are told that he believes her and yet no adult suspects the tutor... like he's the only option left.
